] Date Posted: 21:03:48 03/24/04 Wed In reply to: øSultanø 's message, "øthe age of the kings is now upon usø" on 16:13:17 03/23/04 Tue With nothing to tend to and no one to converse with, the grulla fae was prone to spend hours staring out to sea. For what purpose? She had none, she merely counted her days through the tide's cycle. In, out, in...the rushing of the waters gave her a sense of continuity, of stability, something she had never derived from her own life. Today was much like any other day, meaning the sun had reached its zenith over the vigilant mare, casting warm rays upon her dove gray back. She stood undisguised on the beach, the sand attempting to partially devour her ebonite hooves. Intermingled tresses obscured her vision, forcing her to constantly toss her head to rid her flashing visionaries of the insolent strands. However, this day was somewhat different from the mundane events of other days. Today, something had come in with the tide. Quietly, the valkyrie approached this newcomer, her intent gaze never wavering from his face. There was a lot to be told from a stranger's eyes, if one knew what to look for. Fulcrums progressed at a sedate pace that soon manuevered her into position before the stallion's visage. .:Welcome to Paradise Isle:. The tones were issued without a glimmer of expression or emotion, the delivery cool and impassive. .:Might I help you?:. Beneath these seemingly subservient words lay a sublimal message. You had better hope your intentions are good, otherwise you're out of here. With her father out of the picture, Elven considered it her duty to keep the Isle clear of invading vermin leaving her wary of any stranger to tread on the shore. Her posture was stiff and unyielding, her attic held high in dominance and determination. Until his motives were uncovered, this stallion would progress no further. Gee, Elven, you were such a sweet kid, what happened? [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

Date Posted: 14:19:43 03/29/04 Mon It was as if hot water was poured on an ice cube, so subtly did the mare's demeanor lose some of its characteristic frigid quality. Her noble features tilted slightly to the right, inclining politely in respect for the others wishes. .:Your presence is welcomed and appreciated:. she replied, allowing the barest glimmer of happiness in her dark eyes. The Isle, as well as the rest of CM, had been suffering from inactivity as of late. Any newcomer was welcome as far as she was concerned. Now Elven, it's your turn doll, he gave his name and so you must give yours. .:I am Elven:. Succinct, simple, straightforward. Utterly lacking the social gentility one usually finds with the leader of the welcome wagon. However, Elven wasn't exactly the most sociable creature and believe it or not, the minx was actually trying her hardest to appear delighted at his arrival, couldn't you tell?
