Harriet Vernon (stage name) was my 2 x gt.grandmother. She was born in 1858 Lambeth married, had 3 children and was later divorced by my 2 x gt. grandfather. She was taken ill while on tour with the "Old Time Artistes" In Liverpool but continued onto Doncaster to perform at the Grand Theatre. She became gravely ill and sadly died in Doncaster Infirmary July 1923. She was buried in an unarked grave and in May this year a few of her Gillett descendants funded a headstone and attended a blessing as we felt it befitting for the contribution she gave to the Music Hall to be remembered by us all.

More can be found on Harriet via an internet search.
