Subject: Fayne "Pet" Strahan Moore Lewis

I have recently come across a distant relative (Fayne "Pet" Strahan) who was supposed to have married Henry David Lewis (of Lewis & Marks, LTD of South Africa) financier & diamond mine magnate. Fayne was quite a beauty. She was born in Albany, Oregon. Her father was an Oregon Supreme Court Judge. Her mother was sickly and moved to Atlanta, Ga. Fayne was involved in a scandalous trial in NY City in 1898-1899. She was not found guilty of charges but her husband (William Moore) was. He subsequently spent many years in Sing Sing Prison. Fayne divorced him in 1902 and took off for London to (I suppose) become famous and/or catch a rich nobleman. She appeared in the play "The Messenger Boy" (according to newspaper articles). She must have used a stage name because I can find no trace of her.I am asking for help with this mystery. I'd like to know if she in fact married Henry D. Lewis and where she died and is buried. Thanks so very much!
