Subject: Elizabeth 'Bessie' Edwards

I'm currently doing some research on a minor English actress who was active on the stage in the 1870's. Sadly she died in a shipwreck off Western Australia in 1878, while on her way to Melbourne for an engagement as the leading lady at the Theatre Royal. As her career was only just beginning, information on her is very hard to locate. Her brother was James Carter Edwards ( a reasonably well known actor in the period 1870-1920's) and her father was Mr John Edwards, also a performer in the 1860's. She was married to a Mr Charles Cowdery (also an actor). I would be extremely grateful if anyone could provide any information relating to Bessie.
