Either you are joking, or you just don't know Billy Tibbets record. Convicted Felon (RAPE of a young girl) probation violater, assaulter. those are on the record
i think the rules here prevent any one from derogatory comments on other people, or i certainly would.
i don't know exactly when "be a Bruin" show was taped but Billy was there, taking on the likes of an 18 year old high school grad that hadn't received any interest from college teams, and 47 year old senior leaguers'. Not being able to intimidate them, he tried to get physical with ex Referee Stewart! i don't know if he "earned" a spot on the Bruins tryout camp or not. I do know that Terry O'Reilly called him a managers nightmare.
yeah great guy though!

Billy himself told me the story, it sounded true enough. The prison time came from breaking parole-he shot at someone with a BB gun. But a gun nonetheless. And the girl who claimed rape was 1 month shy of legal age, but lied about her age and had already done 3 guys the same nite before him.
Not that he's an angel by any means. But I enjoyed meeting him and spending time talking to him. Yeah, I'm an old fart who likes to just talk to the guys, and they will usually talk to me because I AM an old fart who isn't interested in sleeping with them. I used to have a link to the whole story from a newspaper article, but after recent computer crash, lost all my links. And he had some pretty hard times growing up.
Anyway, I do think that 1) he needs to grow up and control that temper 2)he's basically a nice guy, but moody,
3) he's a pretty good HP, even if his only job is goon at times, and 4) takes a joke on himself pretty well. No more details or he'll know who's posting.
At least he's not the worst HP I've read about on these boards!!!
For instance, I'm still pissed at Bertuzzi for breaking Moore's neck. Totally uncalled for!
