Subject: stone marble found in earth

My husband and I were digging a hole to plant a tree in our yard and found a stone, plain white marble! We live near a river and have found many arrow head artifacts and think this is a handmade marble from the native americans that settled here along the river. OSAGE... Anyone know what it would be used for other than playing, or what it would be made of, the worth of it and all?
