What do you think about having the classic count for points. This would probably increase the number of teams that go and fish especially if we make 1 st worth 75 points.
Good Fishing.

I think that if you do that you would take away from the accomplishment in winning the season long battle for points. If you were ahead at the end of the year and could'nt get off of work or had an emergency that did'nt allow you to go you would be out of the running. One day tournaments are one thing, but a 2 day tournament often several hours away might be a litle harder to make plans for depending on you individual schedule. Just my .02

Ok i will buy that but something needs to be changed with the teams that do not catch fish in a tournament. as it stands now one team might get 30pts while at a different tournament a team would only get 15 pts.
(Eample--- 2 teams fish 2 tournaments each wins 1 and each fails to catch a keeper in 1, how would you determine the better team, they would each get 50 for the win and probably different pt totals for the zero)
I feel we should have a set number for no fish(20pts)

>Why not give 5 points to those who come to the meetings?
Just might make more show up other than the same people.

I would be all for it after all shouln't team of the year include meetings as well as tournaments (only 5 pts per team as long as 1 team member is present)

The only obstacle in that is there is no incentive for a non-tracker boat owner to show up at meetings because they don't have voting rights. So they would'nt get 5 pts for meetings and what if one of those guys have an awesome year and fall short by a few points because they did'nt attend meetings because they could'nt vote on anything anyway. How do figure this one out?

JUST BECAUSE THEY DON'T GET TO VOTE, THIS SHOULD NOT BE A REASON TO FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON AND BRING UP A POINT OR TWO, THAT THE OTHERS MAY VOTE ON. BEING A SOCIAL MEMBER DOES NOT STOP YOU FROM SPEAKING, AND SHOWING UP AT THE MEETINGS WOULD GET YOUR TEAM THAT EXTRA 5 POINTS. ONE MORE THIG IS THAT THE CLUB SEEMS TO BE GOING IN THE DIRECTION OF ONLY HAVING HALF THE MEETINGS, THIS, IF PUT ON THE WRIGHT DATES, MAY INCREASE THE ATTENDENCE.

I agree but we can't even get "regular" members to show up at these things. I think I am going to request a vote for combining both forms of members to that of one membership group and get rid of this regular- associate member shit, This club has hardly any participation from their members and I am sick and tired of the constant bull shit and the belly aching. Its like I said before this is our club get off of the couch, become one of the doers and not a Monday Morning Quarterback.

>Having one membership, and letting everyone vote, would only open the doors to change the club. Have more non tracker members show up than owners,at one meeting, and you might as well change the name to just bass club

> Maybe Non-Tracker Owners Are Just In It For The Tourn Money And Don't Really Care About The Meetings Or The Voteing How Many Non Tracker Members Do We Have. What If One Meeting We Come UP With The Proposals And Every Other Month We Came And Voted. Or Put Proposals On Message Board And Voted Or Discussed On The Message Board And Have Special Meetings With Guest At The Mohawk Club

I really don't think anyone is in it for the money, with the price of gas, tackle, entry fees and ramp fees, if your lucky you might loose a couple hundred for the year. And as far as the other members message about what if other non tracker members showed up and changed everything about the club My responce to that would be GREAT if they show up and vote to change things its what we deserve for not showing up and maybe it would light a fire under someones ass.
