I have had a couple of vulva shave biopsies and the Novocain pretty much takes care of the immediate pain.

I had an Episiotomy so I can relate here also.

I think each person experience is going to be different, but I don't think the procedure will be horrible...not great but not horrible.

Plan on something’s afterward...ask your doc when you can soak in a bath...baking soda does wonders for an irritated area. Get some pure aloe vera with lodicane.

Also as an added precaution see if your doc will give you a prescription for Lidocane..5% gel...this can be a life saver...if urine gets on the area...this can cause irritation....use a squirt bottle to dilute the urine as your urinate.

Our girls have lots of idea...I hope you will join us at our on line support group.

Remember to ask for a copy of your pathology repot. It is good to keep these on file.
