Been diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. First surgery unable to remove anything because of positions of tumors. Did 8 rounds of chemo. scheduled for surgery november 30th. I'm an emotinal mess. I'm on antiddepressants as well as sedatives. Can't get passed the 1-5 survival rate for this type of cancer. Would love to hear from someone who surpassed the 5 years and how they got through the depression and desperation

I also have Stage 3A ovarian C. am on my 4th session of chemo (paclitaxel + carboplatin). my hair is fallin off. quite scary at first but, well, it'll grow back, they say. I also get depressed at times but I just pray. there are things which are beyond our control. also, somebody told me, "Don't postpone happiness." try to find something funny or happy each day, no matter how small.
i'd really like to hear from others, too, especially survivors of Stage 3.

I was not diagnosed with stage 3 but with stage 1b. I am experiencing a recurrence and I too would like to hear from others who are surviving the disease. Lynn
