Hi to all!
I just came back from recieving the results from my endo biopsy and colposcopy and as strange as this may sound I don't really remember a whole lot because my OBGYN pissed me off so! After my pap, I had Atypical glandular cells, squamous cells, inflammation and bacterial vaginosis, no sign of hpv. Had the biopsy and colposcopy, after the procedure she told me that she had seen some abnormalities and lesions higher up the cervix but couldn't go that far up for samples. Months prior I felt a lump(size of a grapefruit) just above my navel, and had a ct scan and a transvaginal ultrasound that showed that I had an enlarged uterus, cystic changes in the ovaries and thickening of the bowel loops, whatever that means.
I go in today, she tells me that I've got mild dysplasia,koilcytic changes(has hpv) and a couple other things that I can't recall at this time. (Requested copies of my results but won't get that under a week) Anyway she tells me that I need to do another pap in Nov and that's it. I couldn't believe my ears. Mind you this is the same person that only told me that I had Atypical glandular cells and not until I got a copy of my results of my pap, I saw the squamous, inflammation and vaginosis, she failed to mention those findings. My question to her was what about what she couldn't see higher up the cervix and what about the vaginosis, sorry to be so graphic but shit is falling out my vagina, figuratively speaking (in terms of discharge, which I have had for years and has gotten progressively worse, not to mention the smell and then she says, OH I'll give you a perscription, wow i said, Don't you understand that nothing works I have gotten prescriptions before, used over the counter medications and creams and to no avail, she still insisted she give me a prescription. I am also awaiting an appointment to go have another transvaginal ultra sound to see if the cysts has grown. I am telling this idiot of an OBGYN that I am peeing every two seconds, I am experiencing terrible lower back pains and something needs to be done. At the end of it all she was a little upset and had the nerve to tell me that we are going around in circles, can you imagine, It's my body and I know what I am seeing and feeling. Do you believe the nerve of these people???
Anyway my mom works at Mount Sinai in NYC and I am just waiting to get my records and an appointment and I am on my way to see an OBGYN with common sense, knowledge and most of all a heart . Sorry for the long email, I am just so aggravated at this time.
