Recently I had an xray of my lower spine, and a dermoid tumor was found on my left ovary. I subsequently had an unltrasound and mri which confirmed the finding. An oncological gynechologist told me I should have both ovaries and my fallopian tubes removed, since I am post-menopausal(I am 65). This didn't make sense to me; I had thought he would recommend removing just the dermoid. I wondered what other people thought about the doctor's suggestion.

Thanks,

Sue
