My pap came back bad in January this year. Two weeks later a biopsy showed
cancer, grade 1. Three weeks later I had a complete hysterectomy. The
staging during surgery was Stage 1, grade 1, however, on second look, the
pathology came back Stage1A, grade 3. There was a question whether they
should go back in for the abdominal lymph nodes. An MRI showed they all
appeared normal. Radiology did three brachytherapy treatments to the
vaginal cuff, the final one last Monday.
My question is, have any of you had this radiation therapy and what were the side effects you experienced? I'm not sure what to attribute to this. I have been tired and had cramping and diarrhea for over a week now.
