^she tenderly noses his cheek^ It is not that she didn't trust us, Love, it's that she didn't believe in us.. She didn't want to realize that we truly loved her and still do love her.. She would not understand us no more than we failed to understand her.. Perhaps we did do wrong to her, but it is of no consiquence now.. We mustn't dwell upon that aspect of it; rather, think that we have helped her as best we could to face the journey ahead of her.. ^she lays her head across his withers tenderly and closes her eyes..^
