Dear all BME classmates,

Hong Kong Institute of Educational Research, Faculty of Education, CUHK, would like to employ 5 student helpers of Language Education or Mathematics Education for the upcoming international conference, "Rejuvenating Schools Through Partnership" on May 22~24, 2001. For the details of recruitment, please refer to the end of the email.

It is a golden opportunity for students of education not only to help out in the conference, but to learn from the international scholars and our professors in our Faculty. Please consider to grasp the chance to enrich your university life.

The post of student helpers in International Conference "Rejuvenating Schools Through Partnership"

Duties:
- to do the preparation in the lecture theatres / classroom during the conference;
- to assist scholars of the presentations in presenting their papers (e.g. setting up notebook computers, controlling the equipment in the venues, etc.);
- to assist the running of the conference (e.g. passing microphones to audience, etc.); and
- to accomplish any other duties which will be assigned in/before the conference.

Abilities:
- responsible and punctual
- able to speak fluent English or Mandarin, in addition to Cantonese
- preferably have the general understanding of the computer hardware (for controlling all audio/video equipment in the lecture theatres / classroom)

Time of work:
21 May 2001 (MON) 1400 - 1700,
22 - 23 May 2001 (TUE & WED) 0800 - 1800, and
24 May 2001 (THUR) 0800 - 1300.

Payment:
- in a hourly basis of $50/hr

Training:
Briefing will be given to the student helpers. And they will be taught on how to use the audio/video equipment in the lecture theatres and classrooms.
