I am not an aged Christian, but I would like to help.

The Bible clearly states in the following verse that you must care for your own. God expects tithes and offerings, your provide for your family, then give to Him to your hearts desire.

1 Timothy 5:8 (King James Version)
8But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

I really don't know what to say as far as resolving this issue goes, but I do know that Christ sets the proper way to resolve issues between Believers is to go to God, then to them privately, discuss boths sides, and pray together. There are further steps to take, I belive this is located in Matthew, but these are only to be taken if the other party refuses to cooperate.

i have seen simmilar things happen to my inlaws, they give until they are stuck without anything. Its important to get your priorities in line, and then pick up and move on. You are in my prayers that God will give you wisdom in how to resolve this issue, and making sure that Your priorities are in a godly perspective.
