Subject: a brief VIW history....also i'm not gay

A Brief VIW history.

Violent Impact Wrestling was founded by Hangman and Smudge. Who battled at the first shows over the VIW championship between March and May 2003.Soon new wrestlers Mad Sid, Superhero1471 and Disco Kid joined the mix, all of them battled throughout that summer in mediocre matches with the referees constantly getting assaulted. Smudge lost the VIW title in a controversial 3-way draw between Mad Sid and Disco Kid and himself, the belt was vacated as a result, a new champion was to be determined in a mini-tournament at the first super-card of the federation titled Barely Illegal. At this event in mid July 2003,Hangman won the vacant VIW championship in what was unanimously considered VIW best event up to that point, also at said event the first Interregional champion was crowded as Superhero1471 toppled Mad Sid in a roof match that was infamous for an anticlimactic end. VIW became dormant for a few months following BI1. XBW (X)Extreme British Wrestling who had partook in an exhibition match at Barely Il1egal started to hold events in the same area as VIW using VIW wrestlers to help beef up their small roster. Mad Sid rechristened himself Rush and jumped to rival local fed XBW in hopes off winning the new XBW championship he would eventual achieve this at Steel Sunday in February 2004. VIW soon had inter-promotional shows with XBW named Rough House. Eventual after many exciting battles and a general improvement in everyone’s performance, VIW vs. XBW was to come to a head when XBW leader Justice and VIW chairman/leader Hangman clashed in a winner take all full control stipulation that would see the end of one of the organisations, the VIW title was also on the line. VIW was generally expected to win but surprisingly in a shock ending the police broke up the death match over complaints by neighbors over the sound of smashing glass and yells of pain. A rematch with the same stipulation was made a few weeks later at Rough House 8 except it was team VIW lead by Hangman vs. Team XBW lead by Justice in an elimination match (pretty much stealing the WWF vs. WCW survivor series 2001 idea) VIW won and this brought and end to XBW. All the XBW roster members were later allowed to join VIW after a few punishment matches. Hangman would soon lose the VIW title to Smudge at Barely Illegal 2 and subsequently retire to tour Canada for a year. By Sepetember 2004 the final part of XBW ended when Smudge defeated Justice at BBBQ to unify the VIW title with the, XBW belt. VIW started to become dormant again during the winter months. Lord Abortion joined the roster in 2004 and would remain until VIW ended. New Blood 1 and New Blood 2 (known as New, new Blood) attempted to Join the VIW roster although lacking experience it was generally the lack of commitment was the reason they never lasted more than a few shows, in early March 2005 just after VIW second anniversary it shutdown due to number of factors including work schedules and personal problems. A few months later a fresh idea was put forth by SIN for a new Fed after a short debate it was decided to keep the VIW name due to it’s history and website. To reboot the organisation all titles were vacated and non finished tournaments were scrapped the new show was called RTV (Revolution Television) The result was Rush would win the vacant VIW championship and Sin the Interregional. Barely illegal 3 was scheduled but due to the low turnout the event was turned into RTV4 on the day. Barely Illegal 3 would occur later than planned in October unfortunately due to a late start and no sufficient lighting for a night show the event was only 2 matches long. However Lord Abortion defeated the now returned from Canada, Hangman to be crowded the new Hardcore Prince off VIW and Sin took part in his last match for some time as he lost the IR title to a returning Johnberg then disappeared for 2 years.

2006 the year of the dog began a new VIW show called in your fucking face TV was made and all 5 events took place in the same backyard in Stoneykirk
Lord Abortion would go on to win the VIW title that was vacated due to Rush no-showing several events and believe to be retired. Lord Abortion won a triple threat against Justice and Smudge to become champion.
Lord Abortion would form Cradle of Sin 2006 and pretty much dominate these shows with his C.O.S minions till Barely Illegal 4 were in another triple threat against Justice and Smudge he lost the title to Justice. This was considered the last VIW show but after an 11 month absence VIW decided to hold a reunion show Barely IIlegal 5 in July 2007. Sin and Superxero returned to take part. Old school rivals Smudge and Hangman battled. Sin defeated former nemesis Rush, Lord Abortion had a bloodbath against former cradle member Omen. And Superxero returned and overthrew Justice to become VIW Champion. Considered a success, VIW held a few more reunion events averaged 3 a year which featured the forming of faction called Joint Venture that caused Smudge winning the VIW title in unsportsmanlike fashion and few classic rematches from years gone by The final show would take place in July 2009 and fed official closed the proverbial garden shed door in summer 2010.
