Yeah, that's a problem, but I am not (nor was Stone, do I think) suggesting that rich folks' votes should have more sway than those of the poor; just that people show they are knowledgable about the issues and candidates before casting a vote. Voting is pretty much a farce--the CA recall and Ahh-nuld's victory amply demonstrated that.

Majorities supported Hitler and Mussolini in the 20s and 30s. 200,000+ freaks voted for Flynt. Voting doesn't guarantee democracy or ethical politics--if masses of people are corrupt or not very bright, than allowing them to vote may very well bring corrupt idiots into power (whoa-sort of like Bush). I am for a pure popular vote, but first citizens should make sure that all those voting know the issues and the ramifications of voting for a proposition or candidate.
