And then imagine this (and this "profile"--which IS me--fits quite a few litkickers or former litkickers, considering the fact that I've had so many usernames and been bounced by Asher and his henchslut krimefighters so many times):

you are continually called a loser and you don't know why, even though you are in your thirties and still live in your mother's basement, downloading porn when you're not busy working at the local coffee shop.

you got kicked out of your community college when you failed one english class too many, after writing an essay about how pound's cantos were cleverly-disguised treatises about this hooker's ass. but that hooker had a really nice ass and you don't understand pound anyway, because his writing is really, really hard to understand.

you've never been laid but you heard that the internet is a great place to pick up chicks because they can't see you. you're really hoping to lose your virginity before you turn 40, and you find this place called litkicks where people post poetry and talk about books.

you don't really know much about literature, but you know how to use google so you can drop names and tell people they don't get anything without ever really quoting anything from any of the writers and thinkers you say you understand so deeply. you do this because you think chicks like smart guys.

but you can't turn off how pathetic and lame you are. it seeps into your every post, like a whimpering cry of "please pay attention to me!" when you continue to be ignored at the same level that you are everywhere else you go, you get angry and post a lot of juvenile bullshit about other people's sexual orientation and shit. you like to talk about shit a whole lot.

when you're removed from the site for acting like an 8-year-old brat with Tourette's, you blame the people who run the place. because they just don't get you. but you have a sneaking suspicion that they do get t.s. eliot, and that makes you insanely jealous.

this is litkicks for many of me.
