Not a bad parody, but really you could have come up with some original lines instead of directly quoting me and playing Mad Libs with the nouns. Also, you forget I use ellipses a lot ...

This is the real Levi, and I'm happy to talk about the business side of LitKicks. Yes, we sometimes bring in some revenue. But more often we spend it. We are currently paying over $200 a month for hosting (this is one reason I needed to shut the site down for some tech redesign, and we'll be gradually moving to a new platform over the next several months). This gets pretty expensive, and the members of the LitKicks staff really do not have money to keep funding this on our own.

When we do a donations drive or a Quest or a Freestyle workshop, we can pretty easily bring in one or two thousand dollars to help with costs. But everything has a cost, and these programs are time-consuming and high-maintenence. The advertising program is slow but steady. Overall, after ten years, we're down about $5000. But we're hoping to have a better second decade.

One more thing: I don't think we've ever done anything exploitative to bring in revenue. We make our money the hard way -- we earn it.

And ... none of you fucks ever buy a t-shirt. Admit it.
