She jumped as he spoke, her own little sheilds of reality flickering for half a second, revealing a glimpse of darkness inside of her. No malevolence, only darkness. They flashed back up almost instantly.

"I don't know." Kyuusai's question had plagued her as well. Student's moved about the dojung in silence, as though waiting for something monumental to happen. Dashell did not seem to notice. "He has been doing this all morning. That sentence was well made."

Complimenting his progress had become a habit, praising each success and patiently correcting each error. Dashell had taught her that, perhaps it was why she was concerned for him now.

"He is nervous about something." Pale blue eyes watched each motion, never really looking at Kyuusai. "He's never been this way before."
