She reached his side as his form dimmed, color draining as though his very essence was removed. There was no doubting, Damuthca Escalvone was dead. Her mind repeated the Knight's death prayer.

Tyrsis turned, facing the direction from which he had backed away in his dying steps, golden eyes scanning that area while Seer's senses swept the rest. She wasn't like Dias, she could not instantly feel the presence of another.

Someday she would explain that to him. Someday she would tell her story in full.

For now, she was quite possibly in danger.
