A pang of regret struck at Zenra's heart at the scene of the King. When Kami had become Forbiddion. He had wanted nothing more than for her to join him there, and she had rejected him. He had wanted her to renounced her role as queen to be his, and turn her back on being Goddess at that time. And yet she had refused.

Had she not, then things might have been different. They would not have been at the brink of death when the all infinity had been used, and they would have possibly not been thrown back into time to prevent it all.

But was that really the beginning of it?

Everything else to her was just a rerun in her mind. As if she didn't have a hard enough time living passed it, now it was being reshown to her again. Just when she had gained strength enough to move on, she was shoved back into that life of pain and loneliness.

She suffered as much as anyone, and now she was shoved back into it just as she had gotten over it. Not to forget it, but to move on. It was more torture to resee all the scenes of the past than a lesson. And it was visible in her eyes, as they shifted from their bright turquoise to a blue gray.

Regret was a terrible and hard emotion to overcome, and now it was settled back in her heart and mind just as she had been rid of it.

Had she chosen to stay with Kami, none of this would have happened. Emi might still be alive, and Emillia wouldn't be laying asleep in a strange bed.

Her voice cracked noticibly as she voiced just a single question.

"Why..?"
