No answer was better than denial. To be denied an answer when it was known was more hurtful than nothing in answer.

Denial was something she had endured much of. Denial of her lover. Denial of his simple request. Denial of his pain. Her eyes closed as two tears rolled down her cheeks, cystalized before they even hit the ground. They were perfectly round, simple quartz crystals that rolled along the ground.

Her mind retreated in on itself, she didn't even notice the crash that rocked Oro. She was blind to the images that whirled around her. All she could think about was her mistake, and how they all paid for it. Especially the humans.
