He chuckled. Despite everything, she had grown up to be quite strong and independent. The laughter carried no mocking tone however, seemed genuine in its gaiety as the wings slowly folded behide the creature, whatever he was.
" I brought you here to protect you personally from those that would cause you harm. Few do not know your father, his tale is a lament that still carries on. Now he is taken away, from his child and his wife. I am The Emperor, my other names are forbiddion to speak of, so I shall not. " He said, almost toneless , in perfect monotone as he watched her reactions.
" Did that answer your questions are blunt as you asked them? " He smiled beneath his cowl.
" If you have more questions, then ask them, I have longed to talk to you for a very long time. "

The elf blinked, and nodded to his partner, who was equally speechless for a moment. Gently shuffling their feet, the apparent " leader " of the group, or at least the more outspoken of the two sighed.
" Lord Kami Dan'Shir has been missing for ten years, surely Hogoromo or Escalvone knew of this, since he was their former Queen's mate? "
