There was a break in the air, shattered as though a weapon had been fired and Tiani instinctively ducked, a bolt flying overhead and harmlessly into a nearby building.

"The fuck?" She looked to the source of the breakage, noting the man with the crossbow. It literally shattered in his hands, and if he didn't back off it wouldn't be the only thing breaking today.
