Vain watched as even the Watcher of Gods would not remove his Binding. Infact, to do so, would kill the very child he sought to free. The Binding of the Weave gave life, he was only weakneining it to cease the battle.

The Strand of Weave literally ceased but the faintest thread. Even on the Sage, his ties to this realm were fully the Weave's pleasure, to even continue raising power would just lead to his own destruction. No God was beyond him, no being.
