The eyes thing was the first thing that alerted Johan. Jarek obviously had done some homework, but not all, in particular, on Johan's simple ability to observe things.

"Whatever you're planning, stop," He said, and shifted slightly, "Besides, I'm not going alone with her, I'm not stupid," He said, before he focused thought into his armor, and a discreet pulse of magic disruption pulsed outwards around him.

Any form of energy manipulation or magic would suddenly be very much disrupted in his immediate area.

Johan might not be a mind reader... but precautions should always be taken, especially when you have suspicions.

"Besides. I planned to bring you along too; can't have you placing a blade in my back when I turn around, now can I?" He said bluntly before continuing, "I don't know you, afterall, so I've no reason to extend that much trust to you."
