After Silverfox was settled in the small cottage Dawnsfire checked the few pouches on her belt before slipping quietly outside. Walking towards the closest edge of forest she unconsciously hastened her steps. She didn't think she was being followed, not that it mattered if she was. What she intended to do didn't need privacy, it merely required a place where Dawnsfire felt comfortable. When the small town was out of sight Dawnsfire looked around and finally spotted a place that looked comfortable. There was a moss covered rock and soft looking grass surrounding it and sunlight filtered down through the trees. Sinking into a sitting position with a soft sigh, legs crossed in front of her. Resting her hands lightly on her bent knees she closed her eyes and let her awareness of her surroundings fade away. It would leave her vulnerable to attack but it was neccessary for her to move to the next step.

When the noises of the forest became silenced in her mind and her body felt loose she cast her mind outwards. Tiny firefly sized lights began surrounding her as she called her people's spirits to her until there were hundreds, all flickering softly. One by one she reassured her people's spirits and urged them to move on, to take that next step that awaited them. Dawnsfire didn't know how long she sat like that, silent and unmoving, sending her people to their rest. The hardest ones for the young Shaman were the children. They were so lost and afraid and needed reassurance before they would go on and it made Dawnsfire's throat tight as she realized just how many children in her Clan would never experience the things that only living could grant them. After what seemed like an eternity Dawnsfire slumped forward, weary in mind and heart and grieving for those she'd had to say goodbye to. Long moments passed before she straightened and stretched, though she made no move to leave the peaceful glade she'd found herself in. She would go back soon but for now she needed the quiet serenity of the forest.
