When the knights came back, and reported the incident, he only sighed, and finished the paperwork that sat on his desk.

"I see...," He said, and then stood, "However, I am going to be with my wife, I made a promise. Aside from that, diplomatic relations will have to be conducted by me, and possibly Lashana, to have any chance for success," He said, then walked out.

Not long after, he was back by Lashana's side.
