Ryiln jumped and let out a muffled squeak of surprise. She'd been thinking and so lost in her own thoughts she'd not realized they'd arrived at the door. Turning she thumped Vell on the shoulder. "Don't DO that! You scared a century off my life. Make some noise next time will you?" It took a moment before Ryiln managed to calm her pounding heart and then she hugged Vell tightly. Part of what she'd been thinking about was Emi.... that girl did NOT look stable and the Healer had half expected for a guard to haul her back to the palace. Having Vell sneak up behind her like that, even unintentionally scared the daylights out of her.
