The messenger quickly came in, kneeled, put the letter on the floor, and left just as quickly. Nothing even staying for a reply.

" We, the Noble Escalvone, refuse any and all suggestions for help to a people that completely turn their back to us, and our ways. Tyrsis was branded an outcast for her crimes against her people, and will not be tolerated as a figure of any authority, even the local prefect. To put her into the highest position within our race is an outrage that cannot be expressed.

Thus we, the Escalvone, retreat from our alliance with Hogoromo and their neighboring lands.
