Vell swayed a bit, though the mantras had kept him from feeling nauseated, he still felt drained, and tired. She hadn't been kidding. Why should she, she knows what she's doing... He pulled her back against him by her shoulders, and let her rest against him while he sat there a moment to regain part of himself. He felt like he just ran through the forest for a few hours. He knew he wouldn't be able to pick up Ryiln, take her upstairs, put her in bed, then come back to do the same for Zenra. He doubted he could make it up the stairs. There was no one in the castle. Even the guards had gone out into the flurry of battle to drive out the humans. The only people left were the maids and kitchen staff...and they were in hiding. Fortunately, since dwarves had come to battle, a few of them trolled into the castle searching for humans that might have fleed into the castle walls, though none had done so that Vell had seen, or heard.
"A bit of help here?"
They looked at Vell though he was a looney, but then saw who was laying not three hands before him, and their eyes widened. One came over and picked up Zenra from the floor, one got Ryiln off Vell, and the last one picked up Dias. Vell got to his feet, and had them follow him upstairs.
They dropped off Dias first, into the first available room. Then they brought Zenra to her room, and then, though curious about Emi, put Zenra in her bed, still unconcious, but at least she wasn't dying. And her bed would definately need to be washed once she woke up, her blood still moist and stained the pillow, as well as caked in her hair. Vell sighed, and had them follow him to his and Ryiln's room, and put her in bed at last. He bade them thanks before they left and he sank into the chair next to the bed. He felt so exhausted, and really wanted to fall asleep. After sitting in the chair for a few minutes, he decided he was about to pass out, and crawled up onto the bed behind Ryiln. He pulled her unconscious form up next to him, and drapped his arm over her, then nestled his face into her hair and fell asleep almost immediately.
