's message, "Where is my Seer." on 11/22/04 10:58:24pm Mon
When the guard found her she was sitting in the courtyard, golden eyes watching as the approaching storm crashed against the farthest edge of Hogoromo. By the time his message was delivered, rain drops splashed against them with each sudden gust of wind.
Tyrsis nodded and brought herself to her feet, hair whipping against the cord that held it at the nap of her neck. The wind tore bitterly over her as the fast moving storm began its downpour, thin drizzle flooding the streets as it became a torrent. The guard ran ahead, seeking shelter as Tyrsis paused to look at the palace. For some reason she no longer felt comfortable there, and she did not know why. Perhaps it was Seraph, or Emillia. Or it might have been the lack of those she openly called friends within those walls. Johan and Lashana had left her, and now Zenra.
Everyone has their reasons.
She wanted to scold the voice in her head, rain falling wetly across her shoulders and face, drenching her as she hid in its anger and contemplated. Seer's vision was turned inward as she looked, and finally understood that no amount of searching in her life would ever give her the answers to the questions that plagued her. "Why me" had never been the appropriate question, only "what now" had ever suited her actions. She thought of the morning glory that had been her first real waking moment on terra after her banishment, finally emerging from the daze that had consumed her at the name Tyrsis Na-Escalvone. The little weed fought to survive, and so would she.
"Lady Kayaroqua?" The guard sounded hesitant, hand held up to sheild his eyes from the water that threatened to splash into them.
Tyrsis shivered and her vision focused again, bringing her back from her mind. "I'm coming." She began following him again before something in the shadows caught her attention.
A movement, small and barely noticable, but a movement none the less. Golden eyes picked out the shape of Seraph Dan'Shir, brother to the queen, sitting beside her window on the rooftop. She did not know how long he had been watching, but as her gaze met his, the world changed. Rain ceased to exist as vision consumed her and she swayed on her feet. Tyrsis did not feel the guard's steadying hand on her shoulder, she was in a world of fog and darkness. Seraph Dan'Shir was the predominant marker on the landscape, tendrils of fog intertwining around him like a loving coccoon. Within the fog there were eyes, millions of them glowing red with malice, bursting in and out of existence as they seemed to look back at her.
He looked away and she felt herself sway, her own hand reflexively grabbing the guard's shoulder in return.
"Lady Kayaroqua?"
She shook him off, trying to act as though nothing had occured. "Its nothing, just a little dizzy." She looked back towards the window, but could no longer see Seraph. "What did Lady Emillia need?"
