Using Carp for a bunch of stuff (posted this question over on the carp forum too...)

I simply want to grab an ATOM feed from google groups of a usenet group to have the current posts on a site from that group, and use CARP to display it as I do with all my RSS feeds, but I can not find the proper syntax to do this.

Can anyone post an example?
I would have something like:
require_once "grouper/grouper.php";
GrouperShow("search_terms","grouperRSSfile_of_the_Atom_Feed",0);
and then...

CarpCacheShow('grouperRSSfile_of_the_Atom_Feed');

But I don't want to use a search I just want to get the feed:
http://groups-beta.google.com/group/someGroupName/feed/msgs.xml
