Thanks for your opinon Sideshow Bob, here are some of your answers:

An alternative to Oakajee is Zuytdorp Cliffs which is South of shark bay, I will get the info soon on our main page. Also current solution is not bad, Ship that stuff to Esperance.

Progress is good, but it has to be sustainable progress. Its the same argument as Global warming and the Coal industry or the old growth forrest and the logging industry..

One example of pollution is:
Super tankers cleaning their cargo storage before the new stuff is loaded. Iron ore dust infecting the ocean. If you want more info I can get you an whole report of the analyses they have done before the deepened the shipping channels of the Geradton Port.. You are going to be surprised what for heavy metals are floating around..

Yes, cars pollute, you are right. If it was not for the Australian Govertment many people would be driving a hyberdrive 4wd. They are out there but are not approved for use in Australia Yet. However this is an other argument. Sail board foam is no good stuff either. Something for the board manufactures to work on. Ps I converted my old sailboards into wall decoration with solar lights in it. If you want I can post a picture!!
So even more a motivation to replace our waves to the an artifical wave closer to town!!!

About coming to town to work.. Absolutely not true for me. If I wanted to make money I would have stayed in the big smoke.
But I do realize that not everyone has this choice. But many people prefer to see Geraldton and the Midwest as a tourist designation rather than another Kwinana or New Castle. So if we promote that, there will be heaps of work.

Finally you are right, everybody has the right on their own opinion. So everyone out there!! Use this site and give you opinion!!

Cheers

Mick
