By providing a platform where people can struggle with questions -- less on polemics, more on dialogues. Both conservatives and liberals can be fundamentalists if you know what I mean. A fundamentalist mode of exchange only burns bridges. That is what usually happens in most Christian forums. Questions and doubts get pushed to the side; people's spiritual journeys fade into the background; winning the debate becomes the sole purpose.
