那"實驗"顯示了:
1.祈禱為祈禱者自身帶來的心理效果及
2.當人知道有人為自己祈禱時的心理效果.

這兩點爭議性不大.

同意祈禱不是求神超自然的介入.

但既然有部份信徒仍然相信祈禱確實有超自然效果,以下的實驗會更有趣.

將實驗對象被祈禱者分成四組:
1.告訴他們有人為他們祈禱,事實上真的有人為他們祈禱
2.告訴他們有人為他們祈禱,事實上沒有人為他們祈禱
3.告訴他們沒有人為他們祈禱,事實上有人為他們祈禱
4.告訴他們沒有人為他們祈禱,事實上真的沒有人為他們祈禱

以統計學方法比較組1及組2的農作物收成與意外率,便知道祈禱有沒有實在的超自然效果.
同樣地,以統計學方法比較組3及組4的農作物收成與意外率,便知道祈禱有沒有實在的超自然效果.
以統計學方法比較組1及組3的農作物收成與意外率,便知道得知被祈禱的心理作用本身造成的效果.
同樣地,以統計學方法比較組2及組4的農作物收成與意外率,便知道得知沒有被祈禱的心理作用本身造成的效果.

以上的實驗建議只是為趣味.

極同意天力所說的:

祈禱往往改變的是自己,是一種心態及意志上的改變.例如為世界求和平,重要其實是這個祈禱是要改變自己及身邊的人,令自己更熱心的去推動世界的和平,不論我們的力量多渺小.
