The small, unobtrusive purple drake rests in his standard sphynx-like pose, wings folded neatly by his side. He watches his adored brother with a deep pain, something like remorse- only he is not the guilty party. His own pure, fierce adoration... no, worship, really... of the Golden Beauty, the one who had so many years ago allowed him to call her mother {though rarely to her face}, had waned somewhat in the face of her demise and his necessary getting over of it.
