Though he was strangely reluctant to again meet with the winged horse, he appeared light-hearted as he stepped briskly to Jesar. His deep blue eyes scrutinized the critter before his lips parted to speak.

"You've come again?"

"Yep. Surprisingly, my mother finally realized her own weakness in control over me and said I could live here," He grins deviously, sharp yellow eyes looking over the drake for response.

He doesn't realize how lucky he is to have a mother who cares, Tarquin realized belatedly as he stared down at the equine. Wake up, dragon, be evil! Shaking off the repulse he felt for the satisfied Jesar, he returned the grin with a smile. "It will be hard for you to find others of your own kind."

He says nothing at this. Others of his own kind? Was he implying he was a horse and nothing more than a horse? He was part dragon, and that's what kept him from just living among the horses. There was something definitly lacking there for him. Concealing his injured feelings, he snorts hautily. "Oh please! I connect more with dragons than with horses."

Amusement wrapped its spiderly web around his voice. "Not horses, no." He gestured vaguely towards the equine's wings. "You may very well connect "more" with us, but unless you can shape-shift it will be difficult to survive here. The truth is that we are all - even I, and I am barely an adult - bigger than you and stronger. Most of us are also ruthless, cold-hearted, and bloodthirsty. By "your own kind" I meant that there are others called mythicals that would be better suited for your needs."

He folds his wings, cocking his head in thought. "But... I like it here. I don't want to go to the Mythicals," He complained, very much like a child once more. Realizing that perhaps this was the best choice, the thought reluctantly of his options. Ziraga was kicking out all Mythicals, so he could loose his wings and be an ordinary horse. He spat at the word ordinary. Next option. He could challenge a dragon to become a dragon fully. Maybe, but what if they wouldn't let him? Next option. He could live in the Mythicals, and work from there. Surely he could visit, and he would, he knew he was unwelcome.

Finally nodding, he sighs. "It's really my only choice, isn't it?"

"Actually... no, it isn't your only choice." His eyes took on a serious light as he considered the options. "When I was younger I saw others besides dragons living here - humans, I believe, adopted by dragons. What if you ask protection from Isis? She will surely give it to you, and no dragon will dare bother with you for as long as that protections lasts. But then, no one likes to feel like a child: guarded and kept safe... but, being the resourceful being you are, I'm sure that after a few days living with us you will find a way to take care of yourself without aid." Falling silent, he studied the winged horse inquiringly.

"Actually.. That's a very good idea. You're a wise dragon, Tarquin," The colt adds compliantly, grinning. "I'll live here under 'protection' of sorts until I am more aware of my surroundings."

Wise, he believed, was hardly the proper word. Gazing down at the new "dragon", he believed the proper word to be something he would have to consider in the future - now was definitely not the time.

"Very well." For the first time in weeks he allowed the weariness he felt to enter his voice. "But be careful." I don't want to worry about angry mothers - horse or otherwise.

Snorting haughtily he turns on heel, flicking his tail at the dragon. "Don't worry, it's not very becoming."

He smiled lightly. "Well, someone has to do it - worry, I mean. And, if it's as unbecoming as you claim, then it might as well not be either you... or Isis." Glancing at his stiffened paw, he forced the muscles to relax, murmuring, "No, most definitely not Isis."

...¤...
She felt like an out cast at times...she did'nt know her real mother, alpha of the gian hellbenders,a half breed,an impure.Colorless ooids looked down 'pon the half-horse being.
"Welcome"
She slid down from her sunny perch. Her voice sweet, odd for a dragon whom was deaf, but she had others ways of hearing, mind reading. She glanced at tarquin, the youth who held the throne. But his heart was pure, not blackend with hate. She cocked her head to the side and smiled, wickedly.

He felt as odd to be welcomed as he was to live with horses. He didn't need welcome, this was his home. He winced. Not quite, he reminded himself. His temporary home. Yawning lazily, he casts a lazy glare on the dragoness. His delicate ears flick about, sensing something odd about her. Keeping his guard up, both mentally and physically, he stares at her colorless eyes.

Turning, he threw his glance as lazily over her as Jesar's yawn. An interesting dragoness, and not one he had the honor of meeting before, he was not confident that he wanted to be introduced in any case. Allowing himself a slight grin of amusement, he nodded graciously to the young femme.
