She gulped tightly, blinking tears furiously from her amethyst eyes. Why me? Why me? She repeated to herself, over and over. She felt horrible, she should embrace her sister, be happy to see her, but she is rooted next to Pedro as stedfast as a redwood tree. This was almost too much to bear. The only thing she could do was cling to Pedro and keep from being sick right there in front of everyone.
