Quiet gradually swallows him, but he does not drown in his own silence. After Dark Tiger is finished, he speaks to her mainly but to everyone else as well. "You speak in riddles, DT. By the young ones... do you refer only to my brother and Oblation, or to me as well? For if you refer to me, feel free to tell me of anything I could improve. I would lisen with a keen ear. I am young, I have not the strength of years, understanding and experience your age offers you. But as far as I know there is only one way to acquire experience- by doing things. And the only way us youngsters can prove our worth is by trying. If, when Tarquin comes of age, he proves to be a less than adequate ruler... well, I would have to say that he must be dethroned. We need the best. Tarquin is next in line, however you slice it, because that's how a monarchy works. But he is not necessarily the be all and end all of the issue, though we hope he will be."
His eyes insantly flash with... something, as the Shadow Lord reappears. How inconstant a dragon he is, never here nor there, and sometimes almost both at once. To his face he speaks, "We do not believe we know everything. It's just that in some contexts the elders understand better than we, the youngsters, do."
Nodding cordially to the purple dragoness, he smiles politely. "Indeed, it is most unusual. You are the first of my hue I have ever met, either here or the land from which I came."
