:^:Unusual for him; he enters on foot. Snaking his long neck around him with a glitter of wariness in his eyes, he pauses in the shadows. Willing the brilliant and fiery color of his scales to dullen, so that he can watch others unobserved, he wonders quietly, behind the locked door of his mind (meaning, he knows protection against mind-readers), to whom he should give his condolences for the of the Queen. To everyone? Laughing soundlessly at such an assumption, he takes a double-take of the territory. Nobody is grieving. At least...not the grieving he had expected to see. Two young s and two s did not qualify as an appropriate mourning time. Did they not even know?

Blowing softly the empty air from his nostrils, he ponders the strange sight. Where were her children? Did she have any? Who...who would be the next?:^:

[Sable approaches the foolish being. Everyone was in mourning but expressed it in their own ways. And not only had the Great Queen been lost, but another of importance. A great friend, Osiris. A former Evil King. She sneers with pure hatred at this dragon, holding herself back but coiled like a serpent waiting to strike. His thoughts had easily been read. Easy prey]

Tarquin is the Heir but Bob shall rule till Tarquin is of age.

[Just because you don't like the dragon, ic or/and ooc, doesn't mean he has to be a weakling to B&C's "superior" strength. Jeez, would you like me to hold all his thoughts back so I don't have to worry about him being seen as weaker? I know it's a strange thing to act up about, but I just feel a bit like his privacy was overlooked.

My apologies that he hadn't noticed Osiris' d e a t h - as you might remember, B&C said nothing about that when visiting the territories.]

:^:Foolish, perhaps, but not completely unaware of others. Slowly he turns his eyes upon the dragoness, curious to see such hatred expressed against himself. If he had been otherwise, he might have enjoyed the strong feelings she shows, and reveled in it. "Thank you," he says, declining to read her own mind, as he finds it a distasteful habit. On that track - maybe he is "easy prey", his thoughts so childlike at times compared to others who were born and raised on earth...and by parents or s, nonetheless.:^:

:^:But, he truely does not mean to excite such hatred, and so he steps from the shadows to bend his head respectfully to the sable. "Do you think," he asks politely, "that Bob would mind if I stayed here for a time? I no know others besides those that reside in the territory of my home, and the events of this land I have yet to learn.":^:

[She had never given any mention to being superior. But he was weak, by showing such emotion. He could try to read her mind but it wouldn't work. She had had many years of practice and experiance, her mind was locked and gaurded. Did he have the power anyway?]

Perhaps you may stay if it is to my liking. That or Tarquin's.

[*Shrugs* Whatever, she's your character.]

:^:A wisp of a smile dances in his eyes as he tilts his head inquiringly. "I thought Bob was ruling...or was I mistaken? I'm afraid, though, that if it is indeed your choice, Lady Dusk, then I might as well leave now as that is what it appears you will choose for me to do." To be frank, he is not clear if he has the power of mind reading or not; neither does he care. Perhaps he does, and perhaps someday he will try and find that he enjoys it. Indeed, it is very possible that his opinions on mind reading, on which he has little to no experience, comes from mere arrogance.:^:
