A quick, elusive smile slips across his features, but does not tarry long; he has little time for such expression, now. The small purple drake's face hardens once more, unreadable except for his powerful amethyst eyes, shimmering with intelligence stoked by the flames of youth. With those gradually-darkening eyes he gazes long and hard upon Dark Tiger. Death in these parts really doesn't seem to have the same negative impact it does elsewhere in these mountains, does it? His thoughts are wry and private as he contemplates the conversation and what he next intends to say.
Seating himself in a sphynx-like pose, wings lifted slightly from his sides, long, slender head swivelling variously to listen carefully to each speaker in their turn, nodding at appropriate intervals. Finally he speaks, voice quiet and unassuming but alive with ringing, bell-like clarity. "As we all are wont to repeat, the old days are over. Superior as indeed we are, I hope we all have learned that any victories we gain by simply gathering what strength we have and diving into battle are short-lived, satisying though they may be at the time. The proof for this is, as the saying goes, in the pudding: namely, the Lights are still around. Essentially I've come to the conclusion that no matter how many of their irritating royalty we murder, the Lights keep rising back up, more determined each time if not any stronger or more intelligent. Now a new era has begun for all of us. I propose we take utmost advantage of it, because from past experience it seems unlikely the Lights will be clever enough to do the same." Standing, wings raised, his tone changes slightly, becoming stronger, deeper somehow- more self-assured, farther reaching. "But the key is that we have to act fast, and be as covert as possible. If the Lights find out, they'll panic and respond in kind. They can't know too much about this until we want them to."
