Hi all!

The topic of this week's comic was the Al Qaeda's endorsement of Bush/Cheney for president in '04, and how the Bush administration has benefited the Al Qaeda.

Several people have asked about the sources of information so they could look deeper into these issues. I've posted some of the sources on Blog 045, but here they are again:

Purported Al Qaeda Letter Calls Truce in Spain, Reuters, 17 Mar 2004

Al Qaeda group endorses Bush for President, eTalkinghead, 18 Mar 2004

Iraq conflict helping al-Qaeda recruitment: French judge, Agence France-Presse, 9 Sep 2003

Flights of Fancy, snopes.com Urban Legends Reference Pages, 6 Sep 2003

Ex-Adviser Says Bush Ignored Terror Threats, Reuters, 21 Mar 2004

Claim Pakistani authorities know whereabouts of bin Laden, ABC (Australia) Online, 1 Aug 2003

Inside story of the hunt for Bin Laden, Guardian Unlimited, 23 Aug 2003

Iraq War Swells Al Qaeda's Ranks, Report Says, Reuters, 15 Oct 2003

There are many other sources, but the above should give a good start for anybody who would like to look deeper into how Bush and his administration have helped Bin Laden and the Al Qaeda.
