Subject: Clarification for Concerned Non-Player READ ON !!
In reply to: Concerned Player 's message, "So are you saying Denton is paying the entire purse or is TPBA kicking in some cash? Read on!!" on 06:14:11 03/29/04 Mon

This post was brought to my attention and I feel compelled to respond. For the inquiring minds that need to know, there is a distinguishable difference from seeking clarification on a non-qualification fee that was NOT contained in KOTH’s payment schedule for 2004 dated 1/20/04 vs. trying to short anyone. I was informed by Matt and Amy that this matter was discussed at our meeting, which honestly I do not recall, because I was so consumed by my dinner date to my right Tony...LOL Seriously, however, I still have an issue with this component of our “agreed-upon” payout since going into our first race with the NEW KOTH I did not receive any clarification on whether the $100.00 entry fee for non-qualifiers would be refundable or not.

The second issue that I had was that prior to our first race there had been so much talk about “even considering opening up the qualifying field to a 32 car field because of the amount of cars coming to try to take our money!!”, that regrettably never materialized. Therefore, since we pre-print all our payout checks the eight place checks were printed at $100.00 instead of $200.00 which was corrected. In terms of exactly what we paid out it was a total of $11,725.00, before entry fees.

On a personal note, I fully support Matt, Amy and the entire KOTH organization, but not the behind the scene politicking.

Jack
