The most informative points were fair use and items that are copyrighted even if not officially registered. The issue with Fair use, I found this very interesting, especially the case were Kinkos was taken to court. Copying of intellectual property especially on a college campus, you really do not put much thought into it - that it actually belongs to someone. And in essence it's stealing.
Copyright protection is not limited to only work that is registered. If i wrote it, and can prove that it was an original idea, then it's copyrighted. So you still need to be mindful with or withput the "c". Also in the case of maniscripts mailing electonic copies or regular mail, this was a good point - automatic proof and date of creation.
