Perusing the real LUOTC site recently I stumbled upopn this under the heading 'Gemma Eddington'. For those youngsters she was from 2000-2004 one of the most 'enthusiastic participants' in the unit much favoured by Capt Ladbrooke (oh yes it was the clap), much like duck but not so baff.

'Ichose to join the Infantry Wing, but as a girl I was initially quite apprehensive about committing myself to a traditionally male dominated Wing. However my worries were soon dispersed when I discovered that although extremely physically and mentally demanding, the spirit of the Wing is to push each cadet to their individual limits'
