hook, line and sinker. I live in Memphis and got home from NY last nite and went straight to sleep never thinking about the date. I wake up everyday to the show and when my alarm clock came on this morning - still half asleep - i heard the fake show and immediately started acting like a crazy person. I was yelling "NO FU**IN WaY - NO WAY - THIS MUST BE A JOKE", cursing at my dog about the FCC and Bush, screaming about a civil war in America hehe .... i couldn't believe the thoughts runnin through my head...Considering what the fake show sounded like if i had kept my cool and listened i probly would have figured out it was a joke - even without realizing it was AFD. But i lost it and threw my lil clock on the ground like a kid and bashed the hell out of it. Then i go to the TV and see NOTHING - "WHAT - WTF Y is NOBODY COVEring howa...blah blah". Then i go to howardstern.com and it's down - now I'm grinnin like a dumbass cos i start thinking "hey howard's goin to satellite !! - woohoo i really want that anyway..yeaaaa im an idiot! Anyway i'm thinkin everyone is pissed that howard's off the air so that's why the site is down. So i go to koam.com and realize that howard's show is the funniest thing i've ever known. I felt sooo relieved and sooo gdamn stupid at the same time. the page stated it was a joke and that's how I even knew what date it was. This AFD completely snuck up on me and i fell for the gag like a retarted muppet. I listened to the fake show in my truck on the way to werk and was cryin cos i was laughing so hard at the fact that i fell for it. The fake show was on the borderline between being so real and professional that you had to believe it was true and being so over the top gay that it had to be a joke. It was done perfectly and tons of ppl called in an hour later when howard came onto the air and did the real show. Apparently many, many ppl got fooled and did crazy things. Ppl said they had ran out and bought xm radio service and cancelled their plans and reservations for the Vegas show....lol....a lot of ppl panicked and were callin their friends and family..lol... this was the best AFD ever - im a grown man i haven't been AprilFooled since i was 10. AFD was always just another stupid day but howard made this day the funniest day ever for me. I love him. I was proud to be a part of the whole funny day. Yep, for a few minutes i actually felt what u must feel everyday that u don't have the show.... only then i got to get it back right away and laugh and have a great day. Maybe if we each a buy HAMM radio i could relay the show to you. That's how bad i feel for ya but i don really even know what a HAMM radio is so that probly won't werk. :(((
