 A good idea, putting the rocking chairs back on the porch to help Spring know it's time to return.

Here in Kitty Hawk, NC we will be holding a SOCK BURNING PARTY on the first day of spring,3/20. Those attending will each take a turn in the special seat in front of the fire pit, remove their shoes, remove their socks and throw them on the fire, as they pledge not to wear socks until November. No doubt the burning will be accompanied by some chanting and other rituals to drive away winter. If all goes well the sock burner will shun their shoes and put on their flip-flops...HAPPY SPRING TO ALL
