Barry you must be referring to Vails Gate school, I was talking about New Windsor school.

Thank you 212 for the info, the stone walls went on forever to a kid like me. All we could see of the estates were the lawns which ended up at the stone walls. I don't know how they were mowed but the grass was always cut.

My oldest girl Pat went to Vails Gate school in 1958 and kindergarten was in the school. Barry do you remember a teacher with the name of Miss Bowen at Vails Gate?
